Fort William Christmas Festival

 

Held during the second week in December - street market, fireworks,Santa and his reindeer, face painting for the kids and street artists.

Hogmany   There are a couple of great ceilidhs (music and dancing) in Fort William to see in the bells in. The soft play centre is usually open at the Nevis Centre where the bands play so the kids can have a ball too!.
Ski/ snowboarding Season is Here!   Not an event as such, it's up to you come and try out our slopes. If the weather is wild you could have a go the biggest indoor Ice wall in the world or climbing walls in Kinlochleven.
Mountain Film Festival   February - March 2009 dates still to be set

Six Day International Trials Week

 

Main annual event starts on first Monday in May. Other events during preceding weekend.

Summer Events   We have a local guide called the "What's on" which advertises all manner of ceilidhs, ranger guided walks and events for the kids, landrover safaries in Glencoe to see wildlife or learn about the chilling history of the area, Highland games, mountain bike events. This booklet also gives suggestions on places to eat out and things to see and do in the area.

Lochaber Highland Games

 

Annually in Fort William on the last Saturday in July.

Downhill Mountain Biking

 

Each year Fort William hosts some major downhill cycling events at Nevis Range. This year dates for the diary are 5th to 10th June, 4th to 7th July.

Glenfinnan Highland Games

 

Annually at Glenfinnan on 3rd Saturday in August.

Lochaber Agricultural Show

 

Last Saturday in August.

Ben Nevis Race

 

Annually on first Saturday in September.

Jacobite Steam Train
